Three-peat is called three successive Champions League Titles which is referred towards Real Madrid. In the modern era, Los Blancos is the only club to earn one of the most unique and unparalleled accomplishments. Back in the 1970’s this feat was achieved by Ajax and Bayern as well. Champions League 2015-16

Real Madrid finished the group stage of 15-16 with the most points (16).  This is the best one in their three-peat journey. Los Blancos passed through Roma 4-0 on aggregate in the round of 16. Cristiano Ronaldo's genius resulted in a turnaround in the Quarter-Finals. La Liga giant faced off the Pellegrini’s City in Semi-Finals. Real went into the Finals with a slight margin of 1-0 victory.


The Vikings took on arch-rival Atletico Madrid in the Finals. The contest remained all square at full-time and relied everything on penalties. Thanks to Keylor Navas heroics who stopped Juanfran shot before Ronaldo converted the title-winning penalty.

Champions League 2016-17

The following season Real Madrid again reached the Finals. Real topped the group stage with 13 points. Three-peat holders thrashed Napoli in the Round of 16. Real Madrid was against the European power Bayern Munich in the Quarter-Finals. Cristiano Ronaldo dominated both legs, scoring five of Real Madrid's six goals including a hat-trick and Bayern was defeated 6-3. Atletico Madrid was the next victim of Los Blancos. Once again Atletico was knocked out by Real with a 4-2 scoreline. 


The 2016–17 Champions League Final featured Juventus and Real Madrid. One of the best-ever game run by Real Madrid. Ronaldo and Madrid wiped out Bianconeri 4-1 to win another Final. 


Champions League 2017-18

The season completed the three-peat journey. Real Madrid finished the group stage as runner-up with 13 points. Although the Los Blancos side wasn’t the best but was the most resilient group. French champions PSG was thumped up by Real in the last 16. The most intense game of the season came between Juventus and Real in the Quarter-Finals. Juventus won the second leg and Real Madrid won the tie 4-3. CR7's overhead kick in that contest, the most amazing goal in Champions League history. Zidane’s side knocked out Bayern in Semi-Finals to reach the third consecutive UCL Final. 


Liverpool was the last target before completing the three-peat. Karius error and Gareth Bale’s valiant performance with an overhead stunner made Real Madrid the champions of Europe. 

Key to Real Madrid Three-Peat

The appointment of Zinedine Zidane was the major key. He organized the group well and adjusted the right man at the right place. The presence of a famous midfield trio that works like relentless engines composed of Casemiro, Kroos, and Modric. Last but not least is BBC. These boys have taken the spotlight on every big occasion whether it is against Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Bayern, or Liverpool. Who could forget El Capitano (Sergio Ramos). Finest example of a defender.

CR7-The X-Factor

He is called Mr. Champions League which is not a just phrase. Portuguese talisman proved time and time again that he is the X-factor. In the three-peat success, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 43 Goals, 21 of which came in the knockout round.
