Champions League Three-Peat (Real Madrid)

Three-peat is called three successive Champions League Titles which is referred towards Real Madrid. In the modern era, Los Blancos is the only club to earn one of the most unique and unparalleled accomplishments. Back in the 1970’s this feat was achieved by Ajax and Bayern as well. It is unlikely that this sort of climax might even be replicated by the record-holding clubs. Let's have a look back at the journey of the Champions League three-peat. Champions League 2015-16 Real Madrid finished the group stage of 15-16 with the most points ( 16 ).  This is the best one in their three-peat journey. Germans Stunned in FIFA World Cup

World Cup 2022 has already provided many ups and downs. World Cup, a dream for every team and to turn that into reality players put their lives on the line. This year’s World Cup doesn’t have any big or small teams. The fixture of Group E,  Germany vs Japan was a piece of evidence.

Germany vs Japan

In Group E, Germany faced Japan in their opening game. The game was held at Khalifa International Stadium, Qatar. On a practical basis, Germany was a strong side against their opposition Japan. However, the world has seen that Germany didn’t perform well in their previous World Cup. So, Nationalelf was ready to do something better than World Cup 2018. On the other hand, Japan is one the finest Asian team that is ranked 21st in FIFA Rankings. What they lacked was they have never defeated their European opponents.

Germany started the game well but didn’t capitalize the chances perfectly. Due to Gundogan’s blunder, Japan got an early goal that was shortly cancelled out due to offside. Again, Hansi Flick’s men started to dominate the show. Kimmich’s brilliant pass created tension for Gonda who made a poor tackle that called up for Penalty. Germany took lead as Gundogan's strike sent the Goalkeeper the wrong way. Before halftime, Germany doubled the lead but again flag up for offside. The German side went to the break with a 1-0.

Japan beat Germany

Japan Late Winner

Before the arrival of Ritso Doan in the next 45', Germany was in full swing with some excellent chances of scoring. But then things started to reverse. Manuel Neuer saved the shot from Endo but that doesn’t secure Germany for long. Ritsu Doan the substitute levelled the score after 2 minutes. From there Japan was a better team and Germany looked silly. Itakura’s sensational visionary pass fell at the feet of Asano who ran fast and smashed into the top left corner. Japan 2-1 up!!. Germany tried to put an equalizer but determined Japanese didn’t allow them.

The whistle blew and Japan stunned The German side and created history. Another huge upset that will go into the history books of the World Cup.
